Mark, you touched briefly on screw heads breaking off. I just created a similar situation where the stem broke right at the crown while I was removing the crown/stem from a Ronda 5040.D quartz movement on my friend's Movado.The problem is that it broke so close to the crown there's no nub for me to grip and unscrew the broken stem from the crown. Any ideas on how I can remove the broken stem? I thought I could drill a center hole, then use a small screw extractor, if such a bit exists in watchmaking sizes. Or use a reverse drill bit to make the center hole and that might get just enough purchase to unscrew the broken stem. I ordered a replacement stem, but I'm less confident that I could find a replacement crown and the watch was a gift to my friend from his dad, so I really would like to keep the original crown, if at all possible. Thanks so much for any ideas (anyone?).

This could be extremely useful for image transfer when engraving. The finished watch in this case looks way better than the “dive watch” it started as. Bringing that movement back to life and slapping your own logo on the dial is epic!
